" don’t just learn the trick of the trade, learn the trade"

one day when you will be a successful person, and you get interviews asking about your secret of success, don’t tell them " hardwork, hardwork, and hardwork", coz it would be boring….even if it’s your real secret of success….

compare 2 ppl with equal good results……the one who holds some tips who would allow one to be as successful without much effort will be more appriciated than the other….

"eh your result so good…..give me some tips la….teach me how you study…."

the answer expected is how you manage to study half the amount of time required for normall ppl to study, what time is the best for you to study, what is the brand of your chicken essence, which temple do you go to, what are your lucky charms, whether your seat in the exam hall fulfills the fengshui requirement….etc….anything but " study regularly, 8 hours per day"….etc……

some ppl just do not wanna accept the fact that hardwork is the secret for success….they look for tips, shortcuts, loop holes, ie the tricks of the trade to achieve their goal…which might not always work…and somehow…empty, "hollow" and unrealistic…

although the answer is obvious, right in front of our eyes, we tend to overlook it…..or rather…..we choose to deny it….with the hope that we could be successful with half the effort….half the sacrifice….

success achived by tricks and shortcut may seem tempting, yet they are fragile and never last….one day when the real challenges come…the difference will be obvious

in the end, you might get what the result you want through those tricks you find, but it would never be the same compared to those who did it step by step using the "right" path….as you never really know the real "trade"….
