it is believed that if one tells lie while putting his hand into this mouth of truth, the mouth of truth will close and the liar’s hand will be bitten off…. cool huh….
if this lie detector can be manufactured in a mini package, i believe everyone would wanna own one….then you do not need to worry about ppl lying to you….
human’s heart and thought is like an ocean. it’s not always easy to see what is in one’s thought. you are always curious of whether the ppl around you is telling the truth, whether or not his/her smile is sincere. you wanna know which are your true friends, and whether or not you are surrounded by a bunch of hypocites…
but then with the mouth of truth, the ugly nature of human will be revealed. though honesty is the best policy, somethings are better off kept in the dark.
ignorance is bliss. finding out the truth might not be the best solution to everything. there’s no point on taking off the mask on everyone by force. you will only destroy the beautiful image of that person in your memory. so, why not keep the perfect image as it is?
