lost and found in venice….

i am a careless but lucky guy…

on the 1st day when i travelled in venice, it was cold. i wore full "armor" including cap and gloves that i don usually wear even in russia.

coz i tend to take alot of pictures, it’s rather difficult to do it with the gloves on. thus i tend to take off one of them and put it in the pocket of the jacket.

in the late evening when it got cold and my feet and fingers started to get numb, i was looking for my gloves to put it on….but one of them is missing…

as it was gonna get dark soon, i quickly traced back my steps to find back my glove. i put on the remaining one on as it was cold…

then in front of one church…2 men were standing there..holding a black thing that looks like the other pair of my glove…they were quite surprise and felt kinda funny to have found a glove in front of the church….and they were discussing it and laughing…

and i approached them….and was trying to interrupt their conversation about my glove….

"excuse me, is this your glove???" i asked.

"no," they answered. then they looked at my the other hand wearing the other pair of the glove. "apparently they are yours.hahahaha…"

i got back the glove and thank them again and again……and felt damn malu….

that scene reminded me of cinderella…..somehow…

but i did not learn my lesson. on the following night, when i was having dinner in a restaurant, i kinda left my cap in the restaurant. i did not realise it untill i reached hotel. i wasn’t even sure if i left it in the restaurant….so i decided to try my luck on the next day…

when i finally found the restaurant after a series of getting lost….

"excuse me, i dine here yesterday, have you happen to see my cap???"

"ahhhh…..cap….." he reached to the counter and gave back my cap to me…

then he and his friends were laughing….damn embarassing….

i managed to utter the word thank you before quickly leaving the restaurant…

i was considered quite lucky that i did not loose something really important…and i did somehow managed to get it back…

my friends who were travelling along weren’t that lucky tho…some lost hp, charger, wallet and even camera….sigh…

good also la. people there seem to be very honest. i sort of stereotyped italians as being a dishonest lot, after “the godfather”, the scandal where italy was supposed to have misappropriated CAP funds from the EU budget, and the whole football match fixing scandal last year. now i know better.

ps: so what was authentic italian pizza/pasta like, and how different was it from the stuff we usually get at pizza hut, etc?

err…personally…i would prefer malaysia’s pizza hut…
it has thicker crust and more “malaysian”….but italian pizza ( the nicer ones)are full of cheeze and their slice are LARGE….i guess that’s the only part i like about it…

and they have different kind of pasta…i like it because it’s not too lembik….as if 75% cook, meaning soft on the superficial layer, and still hard in the core….( i’m talking about spaghetti)…

not to brag or anything…but i prefer the pasta that i cook myself….suits me better….and more in terms of amount…
