” fruits are only good during its season”….
this is what my latin teacher used to say to her students to take all the tests and exams on time.
many opportunities in our life require good timing. opportunities come and go, maybe just within a spilt seconds. only those who and see it, and more importantly grab it, would distinguish himself/herself from others who can’t. that ability of good timing would allow them to make it to the top of the social ladder…
our desire and passion to do things are also impulsive. if you procrastinate, the motivation to do the particular thing will also be gone. for example: if u suddenly have a strong urge to blog, but you are in a middle of something, and thus you wait untill you are free. But you often find that when you have the time, the things you wanna write about doesn’t feel as significant as it was when you had high motivation to write it…
the point is, our mind and hands should work simultanously. when we think of something, we will only get somewhere when we actually move. in my opinion it’s a bad idea to wait for opportunity to appear in front of you. instead, you should be more active in finding opportunities.
exam’s greatest enemy is time. we often have too much to read, too little time to prepare. however, one thing about russian’s system’s test and exams, is that you are allowed to delay your test and exams if you are not fully prepared. this was supposed to give an opportunity for students to be more prepared and more ready to answer to the questions given, but being malaysians as we are, many of the students here misuse the opprtunity given to delay their test even given ample time to prepare. thus, tests and exams are accumulated. and a perfectly scheduled timetable becomes a mess when what you learn and what you are preparing for exam does not go together….in the end of the day these students might finish their exams and test anyway, but the satisfaction would not be there as it’s dreadful enough just to get it over with….
keeping yourself ON TIME in whatever things you do is important to keep yourself competitive. time waits for no one, as many would have heard, but not everyone realise its meaning. Procrastination is just an illusion to make you think that you have more time than others, when in fact you are just wasting more of your OWN time without realising it…
if socrates would have been bornt in our era, his idea would have been praised instead of being mocked during his time. a king destined to rule the world might not have his opportunity to do so if he was to be bornt in this 21st century….judging by the political and social structure of different countries nowadays…. again it’s all about timing…
the meeting of 2 person among few billions of people in this world requires many factor, the most important ones being the right timing. human’s feeling and passion to love is also impulsive. it’s important to seize the feeling at the correct time. as once it’s missed, the chemistry would not be as "explosive" anymore…
as regarding to the title of this entry, we malaysian might not understand it, as all our tropical fruits are available all year long. it’s more significant here in russia.berries, apples, orange and melons are extremely cheap in autumn because it’s the fruiting season….the fruits are fresh and sweets. wait for a few more weeks when the winter comes, and when it gets so cold that oni cabbage and patatoes can grow. the fruits start to get rotten. even if you managed to get a watermelon for 10 times the price as it was in autumn, it would not be as sweet and as fresh as before….
some russians try to preserve the fruits and vege with preservatives in a jar so that they can enjoy the same fruits during the cold winter…but do u think that the quality of the fruits will be the same after 3 months of preservation in the jar??
people do all sorts of things in attempt to stop the time from taking away their opportunities… but all they managed to do is to decieve their own eyes from the truth….sad sad stupid human…
