i’ve found an interesting way to fry chicken. using bread crumbs. it’s non-sticky, smells and taste nice too…but maybe it’s easy because i used chicken fillet la.

just marinate the chicken with soya sauce, red wine, black pepper, origano and oyster sauce. then coat the chicken with egg before rolling it in the bread crumbs. fry it… the smell is damn chun…..it preserves the smell of origano, taste of wine and black pepper, which together is unique and pleasant…

the following are the recipes from my newly discovered method of frying chicken.

1)butter chicken with bread crumps- modified from one of my favourite food the butter prawns (nai you xia). after cutting the chicken fillet into small pieces, i melted some butter and stir fried the bread crumbs+ curry powder. then i mixed some herbs and chicken togehter

2) spicy lemon chicken- same method o preparing the chicken fillet, add some lemon sauce plus some dried chilli…the combination of sweet, sour and spicy is just perfect….for my taste….

on my birthday, i was hungry after coming back from surgury club meeting….felt like cooking….so i made thanatos chun juan….it looks abit like combination o the meat ball my grandma used to make and dim sum in malaysia….i used minced meat and blended it with onion, garlic, origano, pepper, soya sauce, and some frozen vege and some other ingredients. when i wrapped it together with crabmeat stick inside tau ki skin and fried it…..it was good togehter with chilli sauce…..

next is the inside out yong tau hu.normal yong tau hu has tau hu on the outside and meat in the inside…..but mine is inside out, literally…..

triagle love, it’s a rather simple dish using glass noodles with 3 kind of sauce, green curry, tom yam and lor bak…it was the day when i recieved my parcel when i created it…from the pictures, you can see that the chemistry between 3 parties which created "sparks" in the center, represented by the sliced carrot with mayonese…

yin yang  syncytial pork. it’s a dish created by marinating the pork with a few ingredients, include wine, pepper, soya sauce and some other sauce ( i forgot what)….and starch… then i fried half of the pork with spicy tomato paste which the other half with just black pepper…it’s called syncytial thanks to the starch i used. the pork meat was stuck together…in the end i used wine to surround the whole dish, which made it look as ONE….the texture is smooth due to the usage of starch, and the origano give the fresh smell to the dish.

Lor tauhu. i miss lor mee in my home town sooooo much….. so i imitated the method of making it but replaced it with tauhu instead. i used everything which is black in my fridge, including thick and thin soya sauce, black pepper and oyster sauce. i used starch to thicken my sauce, and beat an egg into it as final touch…..it taste very similar to the one i ate in mlk….

other dishes includes…

-chicken fillet +chinese cabbage

-green curry

-nyonya’s lady finger

-steamed tofu in wine

thanatos original pork steak v1 and v2—– this one i bought 2 pork steak, marinate with the soya sauce, wine, origano, black pepper, starch and most importantly, the ingredients my aunt made for ikan bakar…. v1 is the version i used to grill it on the frying pan without oil…while the v2 is the version which i steamed it…..both gave different taste and texture…

- thanatos pasta v1 & v2— more version of thanatos pasta will be created after i come back from italy,…..if i get some inspiration there….hehehe

- thanatos stewed pork original recipe

-dawn of early december- a dish created for jeremy’s birthday.

- thanatos meat ball

-red devil tofu

-rendang ayam

-sweet and sour tofu

-thanatos fried mee

thanatos fried rice v1

thanatos original fried chicken— this is quite special because i actually deeped fried the chicken using the oil we used to fry potato wedges during malaysian night…the recipes of how i marinate it remains a secret….

as you can see, this edition of thanatos cookbook has alot of names which starts with the word "thanatos"….it reflects the unique original recipes which normal human being would not think of using…at the same time reflecting that the author is out of idea on how to name his dishes…

and may i remind you that even the author of this cook book has one principle when cooking….that is he never create the same dish twice for a very simple reason, he does not know how to do it……
