i cut my finger…

when i was cutting chicken yesterday….

it was not an ordinary cut…because…i thought i saw my bone!!

i have a habbit of cutting things in my room to avoid congestion in the kitchen. thus, yesterday with divided attention to the show i was watching(a stupid one)….i slipped and slided through my right hand, index finger….(i’m a left hander, btw)….

i could still remember the sound. it sounded like "zakkkkk…." (makes my hair stand whenever i recall the scene/sound…..)

i remember calling for my roommate which is now in 5th course to help. and when he looked at it and say : we need to call an ambulence, i know it was bad.

i went to the toilet squeezing my finger trying to stop the profused bleeding….while my roommate was looking tourniquet. i ran it under cold water, hoping that the muscle spasm would help to stop the bleeding..

but no it didn’t help….the blood keep coming out.. and suddenly my vision is blurred!!…was feeling dizzy…then my hearing started to be affected too….i could bearly hear, or see my roommate who was standing beside me shouting :keep talking to me…keep talking to me….!!

i fell into syncope!…that’s a term used for temporary lost of consciousness…well, for 3 weeks i have been learning it internal medicine and yesterday i finally knew how it felt….

then my roommate brought me back to my chair and sit down….i was sweating and still bleeding profusely….he gave me a glass of warm water to drink….and after minutes, i regained my consciousness….

my roommate stopped the bleeding with tourniquet and using a pencil to steady my joint, he used some hopfully-steriled bandage to wrap over my finger while calling for the ambulance….

when the ambulance finally came…..i dunno why the supposedly deep wound seemed so superficial that time to them….but trust me, it was deep…they agreed that i would survive and asked me to relax….

well, now i just hope that i do have the power of wolverine and heal ASAP as i need to get prepared with my microbiology exam…

i hope this wound wouldn’t leave a bad scar and worse, deformities….

woah! did you get stitches? how many? and don’t be too worried. while this may not be the most auspicious end to 2006, i don’t think it’ll leave more than a scar. 1stly, the ambulance guys said you’d be ok. 2ndly, during NS, i had my finger cut by a parang. long story. anyway, the point is, it’s fine now. well, there’s a scar la. but it’s kinda cool… cause you can show it off and brag about the experience. so don’t worry too much. and do try to have a happy new year all the same! all the best with those exams!

i did my thumb nail into two parts..half with the same size.
