fight or flight response…..
it’s the natural protective mechanism of any living oragnism in case of danger….
when danger comes, any organism react in either of 2 ways….flight away from the danger…..or stay back to fight and overcome them…..
both of them have something in common—activation of sympathetic nervous system to prepare the organism for either one of the process…..both directed to escape from the underlying danger and keep the organis intact after the process…
we faces challenges everyday…problems are part of life. in each case we have a choice, to "fight" or "flight"….
if one chooses to fight….yes he risk himself to danger, and the possibility of not surviving the danger…but IF he survives, he would be stronger than ever…his body and mind have the experience of overcoming the danger, and he knows that the next time this danger comes again, his body and soul is ready to face it without any difficulties….it’s how we human managed to survive up till today…
on the other hand, it’s rather easy for anyone to choose "flight" as the alternative way to escape from danger…..it works if we are sure that we are not Yet able to face the danger coming right in front of our face….
but "flight" is not a permenant way to escape from the danger…sooner or later what you are running from wil come again, and unless you face it….you will be haunted by it for the rest of your life….
see, one thing about choosing "flight" as an easy way out of problem is… sooner or later, you loose the ability to "fight"…..
who knows, probably very very long ago, rabbit and tiger are of the same size and sae strength….and they could fight with each other……and one day the rabbit cause of fear decided that he need not fight with the tiger everytime as he could run away from him….and that became the habbit of the rabbit…and after so many years….the rabbit lost the ability to fight with the tiger….and become the constant prey of the tiger…
ok….this story is crappy….but u get my point right??
even if you have excellent a priori condition to fight, but if u choose to flight all the time, don’t be surprise if one day…. you find that the "claw" you once had that could pierce through any meat has turned into nails that could barely scratch anything….
the same theories apply to those non fighter in nature…..if they are willing to take the risk and fight in every single battle…he would get stronger and stronger….and eventually surpass those natural fighters….
do not be afraid to fail….whether or not u won the battle….u will still grow stronger when u choose to "fight"….at least give your body and mind an idea what to expect for facing the danger….it’s better than just creating an illusion to mislead yourself and give you the impression that you are able to tackle the problem "next time" when you in fact don’t…. and there will always be another "next time"…..
Charles Darwin’s rules applies….the world would only allow the fittest to survive….in my opinion, it’s better to be the fittest fighter than the fittest runner……no??
