life’s a race….
…., a race you do not wanna be the first nor the last to reach the finish line….
well, it’s clear why you don’t wanna finish it early….there’s are too many wonderful, interesting events and mysteries out there awaiting your discovery…and you need the time for it…so what’s the hurry to reach the finish point?? why rush thorugh life’s events, wanting to get it over with as soon as possible??i mean…..you will get there, at some point….
on the other hand….you do not wanna be the last to finish the race….when everybody else u know, has "moved on"….it would be an ultimate loneliness, when the world is different without your friend, families or even enemies….is like suddenly the world speaks different language to you now, when you can’t catch up with the growth of everyone and everything around you…the new frequencies and amplitudes are totally strangers to you….
hahaha….guess that explains why the heroes in the ancient chinese series tend to keep few of their strong enemies alive….to keep them company….and to some point of life, the enemy might be his only reason to live….
it’s true u know, to see those who are close to you leave one by one (when u are old enough la)…at some point u would wish that it was you who is leaving….
actually the difference between death and separation (eg. to other places, another corner of the world, for a long long time,) is just that during separation, you know someday u would have a chance to meet up with the person again, sometime, somehow in the future…..when you wish to…..on the other hand, death seperates people permanantly…when u realise that u can’t see him/her when u want to anymore..u can’t hear his/her voice whenever u wish….
the idea is to be in control, and to have hope. when the person is alive, although u can’t see him, there’s still hope that u would meet the person, and it’s within your power to reach to him somehow, if u want to…..whereas with death, everything is out of control…
see, if 2 friends are staying very near to each other, but after separation, and they don’t meet up… ever….knowing that they still are in control, that they still have chance to meet up when they want to…the sense of separation, the emotion felt is not that strong. but when one dies, and the other realise that he can’t see his friend anymore (although they might not even make the effort to see each other during all life), suddenly all the emotion comes in…..how wierd is human being, huh…..
life is an unique race…the real winners are not the one who reach the finish line first…. but those who are able to have great companions who run along with him, going through the ups and downs of the race….and finish the race……well…… about the same time……
