Thanatos cook book volume 3—tofu (tauhu) series

Filed under: Uncategorized — khailip at 11:26 am on Sunday, October 15, 2006

tauhu(tofu) is extremely rare in russia…even the russian teachers don’t know about it.. so it can be considered as a "treasure" here…

when the lady that sell tofu came to our hostel, u can see everyone rush down to buy.some even demanded people to queue up, fearing that the tofu will be sold out…

thus, i dedicate this volume of Thanatos cook book to "tofu". i would like to present several genuine recipe made from this "treasure",….and some few other "treasure"… they are the following…

1)bak kut teh tauhu mushroom noodles
2)black pepper tauhu
3)emperor chicken
4)fish curry
5)golden fried tofu
6)korean salad
7)lily in the forest
8)phoenix bbq tofu
9)steamed tofu fish
10)steamed tofu+black tauchu
11)tauhu egg sandwich
12)tofu in orange sauce
13)tofu+fu chuk crabmeat mushroom soup

ok….not all of them are tofu… but there are some precious and rare stuff here in russia…..don be surprise if i tell you that the spinach in "lily in the forest" is rare here, and so is the sliced bread in "tofu egg sandwich"….the rest of the recipe are made from some spices from malaysia, thanks to the parcel i recieved last week…

of course, in "korean salad"……u can see that i didn’t make the "korean salad"….just the noodles beside with vegeterian meat….which taste extremely good when combined together…

the emperor chicken…altho looks abit ugly….but trust me….it’s good…i’ve eaten the whole pot of rice with it…and managed to finish the whole chicken in 2 meals…..of course….the spices are from malaysia too…

enjoy seeing the pictures taken here….
