in this series of thanatos cook book, i used some interesting combinations….for example: tauge and chicken. this combination might sound wierd, but it’s nice. the crisp of the tauge plus the tenderness of the chicken will give different sensation to the tactile as well as the taste receptor in the mouth…

red wine is also another special feature of this series….combination of red wine with meat, tauhu or vege gives a special aroma, and stimulate our taste buds, giving us a better taste of the meat we are eating….

and a combination of ribena and honey plum lime is great! the sweet and sour taste opens up our appetite before meal…it is best served cold….

the kurma chicken for example, uses the spices from malaysia…however, due to short of resources, i used carrot to replace potatos….and used less coconut milk….for a healthier meal…hehe

another dish worth mentioning is the drunken oyster ginger fried tauhu….i discovered it by accident… first i fried the tauhu, and then add some sliced garlic and ginger and stir fry them…add some oyster sauce and kicap….amd wait till it boil….serve hot…add some wine before serving…..

in the grilled pork with wine and pineapple…the wine and pineapple is the perfect combination of appetizer for the grilled pork…and the grilled pork under special marination, is tasty even eaten with just plain rice…..yum yum,…..

the recipies are as follow…

1)bbq grilled chicken fillet with wine+ wine salad

2)black pepper chicken fillet

3)blackcurrent sour honey lime

4)kurma chicken

5)roti canai

6)sasame chicken floss with tauge fu chuk and fried tauhu

7)tauge ayam paprik

8)special grilled pork with wine and pineapple

9)sweet sour crabmeat tauhu

10)tauge- sichuan style

11)drunken oyster ginger fried tauhu
