jpa’s visit…
this is one of the event i was looking forward to this week…
so everything went according to plan….i think…
came back from lecture at 330pm….prepared myself for it… but they required us to wear formal…(for non muslims)….this is a difficult task for me cause i brought all my formal clothes home last summer….so u can see bad combination of my clothes on that day…
we were supposed to wait at the ground floor of our hostel at 430 pm.and all of us were supposed to go to the hotel 30 minutes after….
mana tau once the jpa officers reach oni they dean’s office people brought them around to see the "beautiful" building in our campus….there were even camera following them around….
then after 1 hour delay…..we finally got on to bus…on our way to Alexander’s hotel….nearby Minin square…we had 2 police cars escorting the 2 buses that we took….how grand….hahaha…
i never knew there are so many jpa scholars in nizhny….never seen them also usually…
we went to eat in the hotel’s restaurant before the meeting…for the breakfasting of our malay friends…it was a typical russian meal…started with salad, followed by a soup, and finally the main course…(without dessert)….except due to some consideration of our muslim friends, the soup and the main course were fishes…it was the most expensive fish here…the salmon….
but try compare the cooking of this 4 star hotel with mine…..(see thanatos cook book)….ehh hemm..
then while waiting for the muslims to pray, the non muslims were taking time snaping photos..chit chatting….
anyway…the discussion was carried on as usual…there were the usual formal speech….blah blah blah…and discussion and complaints about the life here, studies, some social issues…..but as usual…the response given by jpa’s officers wasn’t that promising…
after the discussion…the non muslims were dismissed first as the rest has another talk from ustaz….
but the annoying part was the russian bus driver refused to go back first… and insisted on both buses going back together…so we had to wait for the others like idiots in the bus….what a waste of time….sigh….
and the worst thing is due to some miscommunication between our class and the surgeon teacher…we had to study the material for 2 classes… but due to this event….i can’t start studying untill 11pm when i reach home… of course…i chose to sleep first and wake up to study in the next morning…as usual….but it’s so damn tiring….
so all in all i’m quite satisfied with it….and i’m glad that the bad rumours wasn’t true after all….
have a look of the pictures here
