what the eyes see…….
i used to wonder….does everybody see things the same way…..i mean the image that form from our optic nerve to the brain…..is it the same to eveybody?? maybe the term "beauty is in the eyes of the beholder" does have its practical meaning…..
for example… we take 2 contrast, A and B… A= beauty and B=beast…….how do we know the image of wat is so called "beauty" in A that form in my brain is not different than yours?? or more…that image that form in your br ain might be the image of B in my brain, which is totally opposite…
so what makes the general society agree on the same thing to be beautiful and others to be ugly?? it’s the conception that is formed since young i think….we were taught that sth red, yellow, pink, orange to be cheerful and black and grey to be otherwise…..but how do we know that when we say the word ‘red’….it’s the same image that form in everybody’s mind?? maybe the impuls received and generated by our neurons have different frequency….but juz because we see sth ‘red’ everytime….people around us will tell us that it is ‘red’, that’s why we ässume that it’s "red"……and it is tought to be cheerful because we want it to be……..because what is "red" might look "black"(to me) in your mind…..but we think it’s prosperous and cheerful anyway…
i’m not saying that that object that we are seeing is reflecting different frequency of light to everybody….juz the way our brain translate the impulse….might be diff among individuals….
another thing….humans have relatively high developed irgan of vison compared to other animals….that means level of vision is diff….and it means that what we can see might not be able to be seen by other animals…and visa versa….thus there is a possibility that the translation of image is different right??
it’s a scary thought u know……because the person you see in the mirror everyday (yourself) might look different to other people….who would know?? by drawing??photo?? our brain will translate it the same way anyway….
imagine if we isolate somebody in a faraway island since born without them knowing about the perception of the world…about what is red, blue, green, what is beauty, ugliness….etc…..let him or her develope his own concept of it…..maybe we will see what he/she really "sees"
now i’ll make the point of my theory….ok…now assume that we have the same way of translating an object….our brain’s function the same way and the image that form in our mind has the same frequency amplitud and everything—–everything is same…..i was just thinking maybe when i look in the mirror i see the 1st picture and when u see me you see the second one….
thus, when someone tries to look nice…..she’s actually trying to generate impuls that can make a pleasant image in other people’s mind GENERALLY……..so what she sees in the mirror might not be seen the same way as like other people….
i’m too free huh?? what am i doing now when i need to study for exam on tuesday….shit…
